We're having a pretty great time in California... as always, we are super busy every day, hence the bloggy silence.
Our dear friends Matt and Taylor got married yesterday - it was the most perfect, warm, lovely Southern California day we could ask for and I was so happy to get to celebrate with them!! They got married at a fantastic old farm house with a barn and amazing gardens, trees, and surrounding grounds. Everything was just so "them" and we had too much fun!! There were a lot of really special touches and a few surprises along the way. A couple months ago I showed you a top secret project sneak peek of one of those touches and now I can show you the whole thing!
Matt's sweet aunt is a seamstress, so she wanted to put together a quilt as a give for them. She sent a bunch of their family, friends and bridal party little quilt squares to decorate and then she put it all together. AMAZING! Matt's parents presented it to the bride and groom at the rehearsal dinner and they were amazed at the love. The finished quilt was displayed at the wedding yesterday (a perfect touch for a wedding reception in an old barn)!
We love you Matt and Taylor! Congrats again.

1 John 1:7
I finally got around to working on this commissioned piece that I've been trying to get to for a couple of months! Glad I finally worked on it - I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Sufficient
... for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
