In Him all things hold together.

Sigh. There are so many things I could blog about, but today my heart just feels heavy and burdened and sad for so many people so dear to my heart. There are too many crazy things going on in the lives of those I love to even focus on our silly remodel or the laundry or getting groceries... I just read another friend's blog and she posted these - they bring me encouragement and remind me of the One who is in charge in times like these:

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings,so also you share in our comfort.”

-2 Corinthians 1:3-7

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”

-Romans 8:26-27
