I've mentioned my friend in Florida before, and this is the piece I did recently for their teenage daughter. I've never done any work on circle canvas before, but she asked and I was able to find some! I'm actually excited to try a few other things on different shaped canvas now.
I am currently working on another piece for the entry way in this family's home. They are faithful supporters and I'm so grateful that they love my work!

Shout out to Hannah - the circle was a great idea!

I'm back... kind of.

Dear Art By Britt blog readers (should there be any of you left),

There is no excuse for my absence of writing and lack of sharing art with you. I cannot believe it has been as long as it has. I will say, that in my absence, much has happened! My wonderful husband took me to California for my 25th birthday (ah! I'm getting old), where we celebrated, my soon-to-be sister in law cut my hair the shortest I've ever had it, and my brother finally proposed to her -- the one we all "just knew" would someday be his wife! I'm so excited for them. After we got home, one of my besties came to visit from Arizona for a week -- we mostly laid around on the couch in our pjs, but it was so good to catch up. THEN my sister, bro-in-law and adorable nephew and niece came to visit the next week. Needless to say, we've been busy.

I HAVE been painting, and I would love to show you what I've done... but alas, I cannot. If you can believe this, my faithful ol' Dell is filled to the brim and I cannot add more photos of my most recent work! Crazy, I know. We are looking into getting new computers, and I am hoping SOON. In the meantime, I'll post some old stuff that might be fun to look at.

Thank you for your support - even when I disappear from the blog world for weeks at a time!

Thankfully,
Britt
